Ingredients

    • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

    For the filling:

    • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded or chopped
    • 4 slices cooked turkey bacon, chopped
    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • ½ cup ricotta cheese
    • ¼ cup ranch dressing
    • ½ tsp garlic powder
    • ½ tsp dried parsley
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    For topping:

    • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
    • Optional: grated Parmesan cheese, dried herbs for sprinkling

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a bowl, mix together the cooked chicken, turkey bacon, mozzarella, ricotta, ranch dressing, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper until fully combined.

Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a large circle or oval, about ¼ inch thick.

Spoon the filling onto one half of the dough, leaving a border around the edge.

Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal. Crimp the edges with a fork for a tight seal.

Transfer the calzone to the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with the beaten egg.

Optional: Sprinkle with grated Parmesan and dried herbs if desired.

Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the calzone is golden brown and cooked through.

Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Serve with extra ranch or marinara sauce on the side if preferred.

Notes

  • Let the dough rest before rolling to make shaping easier.

  • Chill the filling slightly before assembling to prevent soggy dough.

  • Customize with your favorite cheeses, meats, or veggies.

  • Make extra calzones and freeze for quick meals later.

  • Serve with ranch, pizza sauce, or garlic butter for dipping.

  • Bake on parchment paper or a pizza stone for the crispiest results.
